Looking for quality beekeeping advice at just the right time? Wanting to talk about the topic of the class and not about everything under the sun? We hear you, so we started a series that is all about you. We are here to help you learn more about beekeeping and the topics that matter the most to you.
We will talk about a range of subjects and focus our time on those. They could be from how to set up and light a smoker properly to how to make sugar syrup without making a mess. If you have ideas for future classes, send us your idea here.
Classes are in-person at our store in Downtown Birmingham, Alabama, and also streamed online via zoom when possible.
To register for either our zoom class or our in-person class, buy your spot through this page.
April 13th Bee Smokers and How To Light Them - We'll talk about parts of the smoker, how to set it up correctly, fuels, and the proper technique for getting your smoker lit and keeping them smoking. This will be a demonstration class showing how we light a smoker and keep it lit for the entire inspection.
May 11th Making Sugar Syrup and Feeding Additives - Feeding bees can be intimidating, confusing, and sticky. We can make it simple for you and help you understand how, why, and why not.
