Detailed Description

The Swarm Catcher Bundle combines two tools designed to help beekeepers attract and capture honeybee swarms: the Wooden Swarm Box Trap and the Swarm Commander 2oz Spray.

Wooden Swarm Box Trap

The Wooden Swarm Box Trap is built with an interior cavity measuring 18 x 18 x 9.25 inches, creating approximately 50 liters of space. This size aligns with cavity preferences described in honeybee research. The trap holds up to six Langstroth frames and is compatible with both deep and medium frames.

The interior design combines frame slots and open void space to replicate a preferred nesting cavity. A rotating metal entrance disc allows the beekeeper to adjust the opening size. The trap includes a hanging board for mounting to trees or structures. The exterior is unpainted wood and may be painted with weather-resistant paint for outdoor longevity.

Swarm Commander 2oz Spray

Swarm Commander 2oz Spray is formulated to mimic the natural Nasonov pheromone of honeybees using food-grade floral terpenes. The formula does not contain lemongrass oil.

Application requires only 2–3 sprays to bait a hive or swarm trap, with effectiveness lasting up to two weeks per application. The compact 2 oz misting bottle is compatible with slow-release methods or direct application to landing boards. The manufacturer states that one bottle can last for years when stored properly.

Together, these two products provide a coordinated approach to swarm trapping, combining research-based cavity design with a pheromone-mimicking lure.
