Feeding Tools

Feeding honey bees are an important part of modern beekeeping and there are a lot of different ways to provide sugar water to bees. Ideally, we wouldn't feed sugar water at all, but sometimes it is the only way to keep a colony alive. Feeding techniques range widely and vary based on how many hives, time, and money a beekeeper has.

The most commonly used techniques used by backyard beekeepers are the entrance feeder and the top feeder. Both are easy to use, but just like in all of the beekeeping, you have to find what works best for you.
