Detailed Description

The Tapered Obelisk Candle Mold is made from silicone rubber, making it an excellent choice for beeswax candles since wax does not stick to silicone. As the wax cools and shrinks, the candle can be removed easily without using release agents. Candles are easiest to remove when fully cooled.

Each mold includes a center pin, which forms the wick channel. For best results, remove the pin when the candle is solid but still slightly warm—about 1.5 hours after pouring. Waiting too long can cause the wax to adhere to the pin. Once removed, a pre-waxed wick can be inserted and secured with a wick tab or by sealing the base on a hot plate.

Designed for longevity, the mold can last for a lifetime with proper care. Wash occasionally with warm soapy water and a bottle brush, then store free-standing with the opening facing up. Always cover with a paper towel to prevent dust or debris from entering, and do not leave the center pin in place during storage.
