Detailed Description

Pro Sweet Syrup provides a convenient alternative to traditional sugar syrup. Instead of mixing sugar and water, this syrup is already prepared and ready to feed directly to your bees. Beekeepers simply pour the syrup into their feeders and place it in the hive.

Unlike standard sugar water that bees must process before storing, Pro Sweet Syrup is formulated so bees can store it immediately in comb. This reduces the amount of work bees must perform and allows colonies to build food reserves more efficiently.

The syrup is thicker than a typical 2:1 sugar syrup, making it suitable for both spring feeding to stimulate brood production and fall feeding to build winter stores. It can be used as-is without dilution, although it can be diluted if desired.

Pro Sweet contains both nectar-type (binomial) sugars and honey-type (monomial) sugars, giving bees a balanced carbohydrate source. Another advantage is its stability, as the syrup does not ferment or crystallize, making it easier to store.

For those who wish to adjust the mixture, up to 10% water can be added without affecting the syrup, and additional water can be used to create a thinner 1:1 syrup ratio if needed.

There is a 10-gallon minimum for filling from our bulk tank. A 5-gallon bucket holds around 55lbs of pro sweet. Don't have buckets that is no problem, you can use this 4.25 Gallon Square Bucket and Lid with Gasket and still save.

Pro sweet can be stored as is without any fermentation or crystallization or it can have up to 10% water added without any harm. More water can be added to turn the syrup into a 1:1 ratio. As is, Pro Sweet is thicker than the thick 2:1 syrup. 

Looking to save on syrup? Our pro sweet sugar syrup is available in bulk quantities from our store. Minimum order of 10 gallons, and bring your own buckets to fill them up. 1 gallon of syrup is roughly 12 lbs. 

They are only available for pickup from our store in Irondale.
